About Tamie
My Story
I’m Tamie Stuttle, a truck driver, advocate, and trailblazer reshaping the transportation industry. In 2018, I stepped into a new chapter as an empty nester from Central Illinois, recovering from an abusive marriage. The open road became my sanctuary—a place to heal my brokenness, rediscover my strength, and embrace a life of purpose. What began as a personal journey transformed into a mission to empower women in trucking and challenge the status quo, one mile at a time.
My Journey on the Road
With eight years in the industry, I’ve been a company driver, trainer, owner-operator, and now Transportation Training Specialist at a community college. After earning my Class A CDL and gaining industry knowledge, I launched my own company, tackling the challenges of entrepreneurship in a male-dominated field. Today, I mentor new drivers, sharing wisdom from thousands of miles behind the wheel. My approach blends safety, precision, and creative problem-solving—whether guiding a rookie through their first haul or reimagining how we train drivers to prevent accidents.
Leading with Purpose
As a board member for REAL Women in Trucking, I fight for better CDL training and equity, amplifying women’s voices through campaigns like “I Have a Voice.” My appointment to the Transportation Research Board’s Standing Committee on Truck and Bus Safety (2025-2028) drives my commitment to safer roads and sustainable careers. I see solutions where others see barriers: streamlining training to balance cost and quality, reducing turnover by valuing drivers, and curbing accidents in a driver’s critical first three years. My ideas are forged in the cab, rooted in real-world experience and a passion for progress.

My podcast, Truckin’ With Tamie, is a platform to share insights with the trucking community. From exposing flaws in CDL training to honoring women like Danielle Cessna, a pioneer in entertainment trucking, it tackles issues that matter. Beyond the Wheel
Central Illinois is home, where I’m a proud mom of four and grandma to three, with a new grandson due in 2025. Family keeps me grounded, but the road fuels my spirit. When I’m not hauling or advocating, I’m capturing America’s highways through my camera lens. These moments remind me why I love this life—and why I work to make it better for others.
